Mufti Muhammad Ibn Muneer is a distinguished Islamic scholar and educator, hailing from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He began his journey in Islamic studies in his hometown, laying a strong foundation before advancing to the Islamic University of Madinah, where he earned a Master’s degree in Hadith. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in the same field, reflecting his ongoing commitment to scholarly excellence and deep engagement with the Prophetic traditions.

While his primary expertise is in Hadith, Shaykh Muneer’s intellectual curiosity spans Fiqh and other disciplines of Islamic knowledge, allowing him to offer a holistic perspective to his students. His pedagogical approach is renowned for blending academic rigor with practical insight, fostering an environment where critical thinking, interactive discussion, and applied learning thrive.

Shaykh Muneer has had the privilege of studying under some of the most respected contemporary scholars, including Al-‘Allāmah Shaykh Abdul Muhsin al-Abbad (may Allah preserve him), an experience that has profoundly shaped his scholarly vision and teaching philosophy.

At the International Islamic University of Minnesota (IIUMN), Shaykh Muneer leads his own Associate’s Degree Program, where he is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of Islamic scholars. Through his teaching, mentorship, and scholarly contributions, he continues to play a vital role in advancing Islamic education, inspiring students to combine deep knowledge with ethical practice in their personal and professional lives.
