Sh.Salman Ghani
Faculty of Islamic Studies and Islamic Finance

Shaykh Salman Ghani began his journey in Islamic scholarship nearly two decades ago, starting with the memorization of the Qur’an and a dedicated pursuit of the Arabic language. His passion for sacred knowledge led him to complete a Bachelor of Arts in Islamic Studies and a Master of Arts in Islamic Finance, alongside a Master of Science in Conventional Finance, giving him a unique dual grounding in both Islamic and contemporary financial systems.
In addition to his academic credentials, Shaykh Salman holds multiple ijāzāt (traditional licenses) in core Islamic sciences, including Hadith, Qur’anic Studies, Aqeedah, and Islamic History (Tārīkh). His areas of specialization include Islamic Finance, Fiqh, and Mustalah al-Hadith (the methodology and classification of Hadith), in which he is currently pursuing doctoral studies.
Shaykh Salman currently serves as a Lecturer at the International Islamic University of Minnesota (IIUMN) and is the Program Director of the Islamic Finance Program, where he develops and oversees the curriculum for training the next generation of scholars and professionals in this vital field.
Professionally, he works as a Program Manager and resides in Houston, Texas with his family. Beyond his professional responsibilities, he remains actively engaged in community education—delivering lectures and teaching regular classes on a variety of Islamic topics.
