About the Role
The International Islamic University of Minnesota (IIUMN) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Curriculum Developer to support the design, development, and enhancement of our academic programs across all levels, including Associate (AA), Bachelor’s (BA), Master’s (MA), Doctorate, and Ph.D programs.
This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about Islamic education, committed to academic excellence, and dedicated to creating meaningful, structured learning experiences for a diverse, global student body.
Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop comprehensive curricula across all program levels

  • Review and update existing course content to ensure academic rigor and relevance

  • Align curriculum with institutional goals, accreditation standards, and higher education best practices

  • Develop course outlines, syllabi, learning outcomes, and assessment strategies

  • Collaborate with faculty and academic leadership to ensure consistency across programs

  • Integrate traditional Islamic scholarship with contemporary academic frameworks

  • Ensure clarity, accessibility, and engagement in all learning materials

  • Support both live and self-paced course development formats

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree required; Ph.D preferred in Islamic Studies, Education, Curriculum Design, or a related field

  • Proven experience in curriculum development within higher education

  • Strong understanding of Islamic sciences and/or Islamic Studies curriculum

  • Familiarity with online learning platforms (e.g., Google Classroom, LMS systems)

  • Ability to design programs for diverse learners (English and/or Arabic medium preferred)

  • Strong writing, organizational, and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with accredited institutions or accreditation processes

  • Background in instructional design or e-learning development

  • Experience developing curricula across multiple academic levels

  • Bilingual (English/Arabic) is a strong asset
