Imam Muhammed Elshaikh (Almadani) is an Imam and Islamic scholar currently based in Canada.

Born in the sacred city of Madinah, he received his foundational education under the guidance of several eminent scholars at the Prophet’s Mosque, where he completed a Bachelor’s degree in Sharī‘ah. He later earned a Master’s degree in Sharī‘ah from the International Islamic University of Minnesota (IIUMN).

Imam Muhammed’s principal area of research is the Fiqh of Muslim Minorities, a specialized discipline within Contemporary Fiqh (Fiqh an-Nawāzil) that explores the jurisprudential and ethical challenges faced by Muslims living in non-Muslim majority societies.

He has been conferred an Ijāzah in the Ten Qirā’āt collectively, as well as multiple Ijāzahs in several Qirā’āt individually, granted by renowned Qur’ān Muqrīs at the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah. In addition, he holds several Ijāzahs in Hadīth from distinguished scholars across Madinah and other regions of the Muslim world.
